Protests against unfurling of Pakistan flag

YAVATMAL, DEC.31. Activists of the BJP and the Shiv Sena protested in different parts of the district against the unfurling of the Pakistan flag in Washim on Id-ul-Fitr.

Police sources said no untoward incident was reported. The activists observed a bandh at Pusad and Arni tehsils yesterday and Shiv sainiks burned a Pakistan flag at the Datta Chowk here after which the shops in the area downed their shutters.

Some persons allegedly unfurled the Pakistan national flag at Washim on December 28 and put up banners declaring `Jehad'.
