U.S. post for Indian American
WASHINGTON, DEC. 31. The outgoing U.S. President, Mr. Bill
Clinton, has announced the recess appointment of an Indian
American, Mr. A. Siddiqui, as the Undersecretary for Marketing
and Regulatory Programmes at the U.S. Department of
Agriculture(USDA).
Mr. Siddiqui of Davis, California, received his BS in Plant
Protection from Pantnagar Agricultural University, Uttar Pradesh,
and completed his MS and Ph.d in Plant Pathology from the
University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.
