New Philippine President
MANILA, JAN. 20. The President, Mr. Joseph Estrada, quit today as
tens of thousands of people marched on his residence and the
supreme court declared no one was in charge. The Vice-President,
Ms. Gloria Macapagal- Arroyo, was quickly sworn in an effort to
end the Philippines' worst crisis in years.
