Think vegetarian and one immediately thinks of the varied vegetarian cuisines of India. Here is a book which brings together authentic original vegetarian cuisines from around the world including countries like China, Thailand, Japan, Mexico, Lebanon, Italy, the United Kingdom, France and Switzerland.

The vegetarian gourmet is always at pains to discover new tastes and flavours. The cuisines of the world are presented here for the vegetarian palate after ensuring that the authentic taste of each dish has been strictly preserved.

There is also a separate section on drinks and desserts which allows you to choose the drinks and desserts you would like to complement your meal with.

The author, Asha Khatau, runs the gourmet cookery classes EPICURE, in Mumbai. A second book dealing exclusively with Indian vegetarian cuisines is to follow.

Vegetarian Cuisines of the World, Asha Khatau, Zaika (BPI), p. 312, Rs. 295 (Hardbound).
