Sadhu Yadav gives privilege notice

PATNA, Feb. 5. Facing charge of having intimidated a senior bureaucrat, Mr. Anirudh Prasad alias Sadhu Yadav, MLA brother of Chief Minister Rabri Devi, has given a privilege notice against the State Transport Commissioner, Mr. N. K. Sinha and others for allegedly implicating him in a false case. The notice, given on February 2, was being processed, the State Assembly Secretariat confirmed today.

Mr. Sinha had lodged an FIR with the police accusing Mr. Sadhu Yadav of having ransacked the former's office, using abusive language and forcibly securing cancellation of a transfer order for Mr. Sitaram Paswan, Enforcement Inspector for Gopalganj, the home constituency of Mr.Yadav. Agitated over the alleged incident, the IAS Officers Association has demanded a CBI probe and has submitted a memorandum to the Chief Secretary.

Mr.Yadav, who surrendered to police on January 30 and was enlarged on bail, is accused of storming the office of the TDdransport Secretary on January 18 along with his henchmen and forcing him to sign an order revoking the transfer of Mr. Paswan to Patna.
