Jeevaraj Alva is dead

BANGALORE, FEB. 12. Dr. Jeevaraj Alva, national Vice President of
the Janata Dal (United) died at Manipal Hospital here on Monday.
He was 53.
Doctors at the hospital said he had ``a bad pneumonia and
associated infections... diabetes and jaundice.''
Dr. Alva was hopitalised on Saturday evening after his health
took a sudden turn for the worse. His condition became critical
this morning and he died of respiratory failure. He was known to
have been ailing for the past few months.
Dr. Alva is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
