Stickers to be pasted on house doors after census
By Our Staff Reporter
CHENNAI, FEB. 12. In order to ensure that there is no omission or
duplication in the process of enumeration, red coloured stamp
sized stickers will be affixed on the door of the house after
completing census.
The stickers have been introduced in cities and towns having a
population of more than 50,000, according to the Director of
Census Operations, Dr. C. Chandramouli. The stickers will help in
monitoring the progress of the enumeration and also indicate that
a particular neighbourhood is being covered. The public have been
requested to co-operate by not removing these stickers till the
end of the cenus on February 28.
If any house has been left out, the members of the household can
contact the Zonal Officer (in Corporation areas), the Municipal
Commissioner (in Municipalities) or the Tashildar (in other
areas).
The public can also contact the Director of Cenus Operations
directly, at their office in Rajaji Bhavan, Besant Nagar, through
phone: 4911992, 4912993, 4902696 or email:dcotn@vsnl.com
