Exatt plans to be premier business ISP
By K.Satyamurty
BANGALORE, FEB. 16. Among the Internet Service Providers (ISPs)
targeted at corporates in India, Exatt Communications, Bangalore,
stands out in terms of technology and innovation.
Exatt has brought together a team of top network and marketing
professionals, formerly with AT&T in the U.S., and combined them
with a development team from the top Internet and communications
companies in India.
Exatt plans to be the premier business ISP in India by designing
and managing the country's first completely fibre optic backbone,
including a high-bandwidth direct fibre link to the U.S. It will
operate the fastest and most reliable network in India comprising
seven nodes in major cities. Exatt's services are built on the
premise that Indian businesses and MNCs seeking entry into the
Indian market, will demand fast, affordable and reliable Internet
access. For both Indian and multinational companies, Exatt is
positioned to be the leader in providing secure and reliable Net
services targetting the Indian market.
The company's focus is on delivering Internet connectivity, B2B
services and e-commerce solutions to businesses.
The backbone, ExattNet, is the structure that gives reliable
support. Because the company controls and manages the backbone,
it is able to customise traffic, download and upload information
with more security and offer many other solutions that complement
each other and "e-enable" businesses. Exatt is now the first and
only Full Service Provider (FSP) in India, offering business-
centric ISP and ASP solutions to domestic and multinational
companies along with its IP network.
Exatt's solutions go beyond the Indian market to helping MNCs who
want to penetrate the Indian market, considered one of the most
promising with over 100 million persons with fairly high
purchasing power. Through the gateway hub in San Jose,
California, Exatt is able to connect overseas companies directly
with the Indian IT infrastructure. This marketplace is huge and
growing almost every day, according to industry watchers.
Exatt now expects to have half its sales to companies
headquartered outside India. As the company succeeds in assuring
overseas enterprises of the stability of the Indian Internet,
additional sectors are expected to enter this market. Inadequate
reliability, connectivity and security have been noted as reasons
for non-Indian companies not getting linked to the domestic
Internet. These features are now being offered at competitive
rates.
Exatt's core management team is made up of American and Indian
nationals with Mr. Parind Parekh as CEO. Three of the founding
partners are Indo-Americans, who have had extensive professional
experience in network management and implementation. Their
experience in building the global Internet to its present level
along with their innate cultural understanding of Indian business
norms has enabled the company to offer the most comprehensive
management team in the Indian Net industry.
