Babri case
Sir, - Your editorial ``The reprieve and what it means''
(February 14) reflects the mindset of ``secular'' and
``progressive'' elements in our polity.
The court has pointed out that the second notification for the
trial of Mr. L. K. Advani and seven others in the Babri
demolition case was ``improper and defective as prior permission
of the High Court was not obtained''. Of course, the legal
luminaries who are inimical to these persons may use all their
talents and semantics to argue that the defects and impropriety
are curable. And our pseudo secular progressive politicians will
start agitating for manufacturing ``proper'' and ``defectless''
evidence to implicate these eight persons.
K. Ramani,
Chennai
