The week ahed
There is a New Moon in the sensitive and spiritual sign of Pisces
this week. Pisces is not the most practical sign in the zodiac,
but it is the most intuitive. Therefore, this is not a good week
for you to make any major life-decisions such as buying a new
house or going back to school.
It is, however, an excellent week for you to get in touch with
your feelings, creativity and spirituality. Pisces rules music
and films as well, so, meditating, listening to music and going
to the movies would all be very appropriate and fulfilling
pastimes this week. It's a great time to leave the bill-paying
and house-cleaning for another time!

Queries Answered
What is the effect of a retrograde planet in exalted position
especially when it happens to be the lord of Lagna in a native's
horoscope?
S. Kirupa Shankar, Chennai.
Astrological texts indicate that a planet in retrogression
,particularly Jupiter, may be considered to be in exaltation in
certain circumstances. We must also see in which House the lord
of Lagna is exalted and is in retrogression. Consider Thula
Lagna's lord, Venus, in exaltation in Meena which is the 6th
House. For Dhanur Lagna native, Jupiter, in exaltation and
retrogression will be in the 8th House. The Sixth and Eighth are
not auspicious places for lord of the Lagna. We need to see what
aspects are cast on the Lagna and its lord.
The combination of these factors will produce results which will
be particularly noticeable in the Maha Dasa and the Bhukthis of
the particular planet.
