GRT Grand Days offers Internet access

CHENNAI, FEB. 22. GRT Grand Days, the Chennai-based business class hotel and a member of Days Inns Worldwide inc., has introduced high speed Internet access in its guest rooms by entering into a partnership with Consilnet (India), a subsidiary of Consilnet inc. of the U.S. The service has been launched in association with Satyam Infoway.

Addressing presspersons here today, Mr. Pankaj G. Thakar, Director, Consilnet, said this broadband high quality bandwidth access would be useful to corporate guests. The special rooms having this service, branded as e-rooms, are equipped with bifurcaters from the U.S. based Tut Systems while Consilnet had tied up with Alcatel and Tut Systems for transmission access networks and networking systems.

Mr. Thakar said the Consilnet had also entered into an understanding with MRO-Tek of Bangalore to provide last mile access solutions for this technologically innovative service.
