Eicher receives SAP recognition

CHENNAI: Eicher group and SAP, the leading e-business applications provider for the new internet economy, has announced the certification of Eicher's IT centre as SAP certified competence centre. Eicher obtained the certification by undergoing a vigorous SAP certification audit process. This certification ensures improved quality and guarantee up-to-date knowledge to benefit Eicher customers. The setting up of SAP competence centre will enable to internally address issues related to hardware, network and data base much faster.

Medicorp gets USFDA approval

CHENNAI: The United States Food & Drug Authority (USFDA) has approved the Pashamylaram manufacturing facility of Medicorp Technology India for the production of acyclovir. The first inspection of the facility by USFDA was carried out during this month. The company expects to begin its sale of this drug in the U. S markets in four months. Apart from acyclovir, the company has firm agreements in place for sale of four more products in the U. S market.

CBSI becomes Covansys (India)

CHENNAI: The Complete Business Solutions (India), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the global technology services company Covansys(the Nasdaq based company) began its operations on Wednesday as Covansys (India) Limited. The name change stems from a decision by the Corporate headquarters to position the company worldwide.

Talisma completes series B equity funding

CHENNAI: Talisma Corporation, provider of powerful, integrated electronic customer relationship management (eCRM) solutions, has announced the completion of the first closing of series B, private equity financing, totalling $12.3 million. Oak Investment Partners led the funding, with participation from Madrona Venture Group, SeaPoint Ventures and Cedar Grove Investments, says a press release.

Rediff's E-mail services in 11 languages

NEW DELHI: Internet company, Rediff.Com India has announced its e-mail service in 11 Indian languages including Hindi, Bengali and Malayalam. Rediff.Com is one of the first Indian portals to offer this service to its e-mail users, enabling a large number of non-English speaking Indians to logon to the Internet, according to a company release.
