India to meet Scotland
CHENNAI, MARCH 5. Consequent to Singapore pulling out from the
Prime Minister's Gold Cup invitation hockey tournament starting
on March 10, at Dhaka, the draw for the event has been revised.
India, scheduled to meet Singapore on March 11 in pool-A will now
take on Scotland.
India is grouped along with Bangladesh, Scotland and Japan, while
pool-B has Pakistan, China, Egypt, Ireland and Malaysia.
The revised schedule: March 10: Bangladesh v Japan; Mar.. 11:
China v Pakistan; India v Scotland; Egypt v Malaysia; Mar.. 12:
China v Ireland; Bangladesh v Scotland; Mar. 13: India v Japan;
Ireland v Malaysia; Egypt v Pakistan; Mar. 14: China v Egypt;
Bangladesh v India; Mar. 15: China v Malaysia; Japan v Scotland;
Ireland v Pakistan; Mar. 16: Egypt v Ireland; Malaysia v
Pakistan; Mar. 17: Rest Day.
March 18: Semifinals, 1st of pool-A v 2nd of pool-B; 1st of pool-
B v 2nd pool-A, and classification matches.
March 19: Classification matches. March 20: Final and
classification match.
