ORIGINALLY WRITTEN in Telugu by Samudrala Lakshmanaiah, this biography of a saint who lived amidst us till recently, has been translated into English by K. Hanumanthu.

Born in a village near Guruvayoor in 1885, Sri Malayalaswami became the disciple of Sivalinga Guru who himself was groomed by Narayana Guru. He had mastered Sanskrit and studied scriptural texts, thereby gaining enormous spiritual knowledge.

After an extensive pilgrimage all over India, he reached Tirupathi in 1913 and did penance for 12 years at Gogarbham and nearby Theerthams and attracted several devotees and came to be called Malayalaswami. He established the Vyasashram in a place between Renigunta and Kalahasti, propagated Divine message, moved amidst people, reformed them teaching valuable lessons based on the Vedas and other texts.

He made women participate in religious gatherings and thus spread God's words. He attained samadhi in July 1962.

Apart from writing several books, he conveyed his revolutionary thoughts in simple language and attracted thousands of devotees, all of which is described in the book in an excellent manner.

Vyasashram continues to awaken people even now. An exhaustive and informative book to be admired by all.
