Addressing presspersons at Hanur in Kollegal taluk of Chamrajanagr District, Mr. Krishna said they had discussed the political scenario in the State. He said: ``Mr. Shivappa is an old friend and his joining the Congress is still in the discussion stage.''

Earlier addressing the public, the Chief Minister lashed out at the leaders of Opposition parties and said that they had failed to keep their flock together. He said the party cadres had lost faith in the leadership.

Mr. Krishna said the Opposition was unnecessarily blaming him for their failure to keep their house in order. He said people were eager to join the Congress and many would join the party soon.
