Forex reserves cross $42 b mark
MUMBAI, MARCH 17. India's foreign currency reserves have crossed
the $42 billion mark following fresh inflows of $75 million
taking reserves to $42.05 billion in the week ended March 9.
Foreign currency assets were up by an equal amount of $75 million
during the same period taking the total to $39.34 billion,
according to the Reserve Bank of India's latest weekly
statistical supplement.
Gold reserves and special drawing rights remained static at
$2,711 million and $one million respectively.
