Tamil Nadu woman dies in Abu Dhabi

DUBAI, MARCH 18. A woman from Tamil Nadu died in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, after falling from the 12th floor of a private hospital where she was working.

Ms. Anuradha, 24, was working at the Ahalia Hospital's administrative office when she ``is believed to have jumped from the window'' on Friday, the daily, Gulf News, said.

Police are in possession of five letters she wrote to the managing director of the hospital, Dr. V.S. Gopal, colleagues and friends. It was not clear if it was an act of suicide.

The hospital ``never had any problem and her behaviour was quite normal,'' the report said, adding she had been working there for the past four years and living in the nurses' hostel in the same building.

The parents of Ms. Anuradha have requested the management to fly the body to Tamil Nadu.
