Let parliament work
Sir, - The Prime Minister, Mr. A.B. Vajpayee, in his broadcast to
the nation appealed to all parties to help root out the evil of
corruption. This can be best done by forming a national
government under Mr. Vajpayee. Many of the leaders appear to be
involved in one scandal or another and they have no moral right
to speak against corruption.
The citizens are longing for good governance. All MPs must get
down to business without disrupting parliamentary proceedings on
the basis of a minimum programme including the fight against
corruption, strengthening national security and improving
employment and productivity.
V.S. Sankaran,
Madurai
