Tehelka exposure tip of the iceberg, says Moopanar
By Our Special Correspondent
CHENNAI, MARCH 19. The TMC president, Mr. G. K. Moopanar, today
charged that the BJP- led Government at the Centre was trying to
continue in office by ordering a judicial probe and daring the
Opposition to move a vote of no-confidence against it.
``But the patriotic citizens of the country do not want the BJP-
led Government to continue even a minute longer,'' Mr. Moopanar
said in a statement today.
Stating that the website Tehelka's expose of the scandals in arms
purchases was only the ``tip of the iceberg'', he charged that
the BJP Government was the ``root cause of the anti- national
act'' of compromising national security.
The world was shocked by the exhibition of ``brazen corruption''
in defence deals in the country, and the resignation of a few
Ministers would not mitigate the impact of these scandals, he
said.
