Megawati visit to India off

SINGAPORE, MARCH 22. The Indonesian Vice-President, Ms. Megawati
Sukarnoputri, has cancelled her scheduled visit to India on
account of ``domestic developments'' in her country.
Ms. Sukarnoputri, who was to have visited Mumbai, Hyderabad and
Orissa, before embarking on the official part of her journey,
also planned to visit Rishikesh.
The Prime Minister, Mr. A.B. Vajpayee, had extended the
invitation to the Indonesian Vice-President during his trip to
that country in January.
