CHENNAI, MARCH 22. Landmark Infotech Systems and Solutions, the Indian division of the Landmark group (promoters of the superstore Lifestyle), has tied up with BioLink Technologies International Inc. to provide biometric security based solutions and services in India.

Addressing presspersons here, Mr. V. V. Prasad, managing director, Landmark Infotech Systems and Solutions, said the tie- up would be beneficial in the high technology areas such as mission critical Internet transaction applications. It would benefit IT organisations in India with special emphasis on security infrastructure products and services.

BioLink is a leading manufacturer of biometric based security and network utility solutions.

Initially Landmark plans to market U-match BioLink Mouse, a standard two-button computer mouse with a small fingerprint scanning device embedded in it that functions as a lock on a computer or a network that can be accessed only by authorised persons.

The product allows 100 per cent positive verification of the end- user. Another product MatchBook would be introduced in India soon, Mr. Prasad said.

Landmark plans to install the product in all its shopping malls worldwide.
