By Our Special Correspondent
MADURAI, APRIL 18. The Madurai urban district unit of the Indian
National League (INL), owing allegiance to Mr. M. G. K.
Nizamudeen, State president, has decided to field its candidates
in the three Madurai constituencies.
In a resolution, a meeting of the office-bearers here decided to
fight both communalism and corruption on its own.
According to a statement issued by Mr. M. Abuthahir, district
secretary, the candidates for Madurai east, west and central will
be announced in Chennai tomorrow. The INL unit felt that it was
necessary to field candidates in these urban constituencies to
secure reservation in employment for Muslims.
