P.T. Usha presented 'Woman Achiever' award

MUMBAI, APRIL 18. Golden girl of Indian athletics P.T. Usha was given this year's `Woman Achiever' award for outstanding contribution in the field of sports by the ladies wing of the Indian Merchants' Chamber (IMC) here on Wednesday.

The award was presented to Usha at the 23rd annual general meeting of the ladies wing of the IMC, which had a theme of Women Work Wonders (www.com) for the year.

Receiving the honour, Usha announced the setting up of the Usha School of Athletics, saying it was her way of giving back to the nation what she had been receiving till now.

Professional management was of utmost importance in sports to produce world class athletes, the sprint queen said adding her academy would try to achieve this.
