Janshakti wants CM dismissed
By Our Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI, APRIL. 18.
A delegation of the Lok Janshakti Party, headed by the former
Union Minister and MP, Capt. J.N. Prasad Nishad, Mr. Ram Chander
Paswan and Mr. Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, today met the Union Home
Minister, Mr. L.K.Advani, and demanded the dismissal of the
Sheila Dikshit Government and registration of criminal cases
against her and the Tughlakabad MLA, Mr. Sishpal, for creating a
law and order problem.
The delegation which also included the BJP Mehrauli District
president, Mr. Ramesh Bidhuri and Lok Janshakti Party general
secretaries, Mr. Satish Yadav and Mr. A.K. Vajpayee, urged Mr.
Advani to direct the Delhi Police to register cases against Mr.
Sishpal and his supporters against whom the security guard of Mr.
Ramvir Singh Bidhuri had lodged a formal complaint.
The delegation alleged the supporters of Ms. Dikshit and Mr.
Sishpal attacked the house of Mr. Ramvir Bidhuri and damaged his
two cars and smashed the window panes of the house. It also
demanded security for Mr. Bidhuri in wake of the threats being
received by him from the Congress(I) MLA's supporters.
The delegation apprised Mr. Advani about the incidents of April
15 where the Chief Minister, Ms. Sheila Dikshit, arrived without
being invited and her supporters indulged in violence. The
delegation pointed out that a case should be registered against
the Chief Minister and her MLA for provoking the people and
inciting violence in the area. The delegation presented a
memorandum detailing all the incidents, including several cases
of land grab by Mr. Sishpal in and around Tughlakabad.
Mr. Advani gave a patient hearing and assured them that he would
look into the points raised and also study the memorandum
submitted. The delegation remained with Mr. Advani for more than
30 minutes.
