After hours of controversy, India late tonight accepted the ``highly mutilated'' bodies of 15 Border Security Force men killed by Bangladesh Rifles personnel in recent border clashes.

Govt. avoiding debate on Tehelka: Cong.
The Congress today accused the Government of avoiding a discussion on the fallout of the Tehelka expose. The deputy leader of the party in Parliament, Mr. Madhavrao Scindia, challenged the Government to allot time for a discussion on a motion moved by the Congress in the Rajya Sabha, asking for the setting up of a JPC.

Tehelka shareholder held, released
Mr. Shankar Sharma, promoter of First Global, a leading broking firm, was arrested for allegedly threatening an Income Tax Department officer and later released on bail.

Orders reserved on petition to enforce poll disqualification
The Madras High Court today reserved orders, without mentioning a date, on a writ petition seeking to declare that the ``disqualification under Sections 8(1) to 8(3) of the Representation of the People Act cannot be stayed against the object of the Act, and should be implemented to promote the object of probity in public life.... irrespective of any pendency of appeal or suspension of sentence or stay of conviction.''
