College teachers boycott spot valuation
By Our Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD, APRIL 21. Affiliated college teachers of the
government and aided categories boycotted the spot valuation of
degree examination papers throughout the State on Saturday in
response to the call given by the Affiliated College Teachers'
Association- AP and the Government College Teachers Association-
AP.
The boycott was in protest against the `indifferent attitude' and
inordinate delay in resolving the long pending problems of
college teachers, Mr. G. Sreedhar Reddy of ACTA and Mr. G. Venkat
Reddy of GCTA said in a joint press release.
The valuation work in all the universities came to a standstill,
they claimed. As a prelude to the boycott, college teachers
demonstrated in front of the spot valuation centres yesterday.
