Women hospital given face-lift
By Our Staff Reporter
CHENNAI, APRIL 21.
The Government Women and Child Hospital (GWCH) at Egmore was
given a face-lift today with about 500 volunteers from a non-
governmental organisation sprucing up its interiors.
Members of the Hope Foundation gave the hospital a whitewash and
cleaned the wards. They also helped fix fans and bulbs where
necessary.
The organisation was observing the Global Outreach Day to show
how ordinary people could take up responsibility in their city,
it said in a press release.
