Ganguly retained captain
VADODARA, APRIL 21. Sourav Ganguly has been appointed captain of
the Indian team for the tour of Zimbabwe to start on May 27. The
national selectors who are here for the Ranji Trophy final, named
Ganguly as captain at a meeting that lasted for five minutes.
Ganguly will join the selectors here on Sunday to pick the
probables for the tour.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Hon. Secretary,
Mr. Jaywant Lele said the probables will attend a camp in
Bangalore from May 13 to 18. `` The team for the Test series will
be picked on May 18,'' said Mr. Lele. India will play two Test
matches and a triangular series in which the third team will be
the West Indies.
