Queries answered

Will the Dasa of Jupiter be good for a Dhanur Lagna native with Jupiter in Mithuna aspecting Lagna; other planets in Kendra and Trikona from Lagna and Rasi; and birth-star Sravanam?

R. Subramaniam, Chennai-42

LAGNA Lord Jupiter aspecting the Lagna is good. Jupiter owns two Kendras (Quadrants) and is also situated in a Kendra. He is subject to Kendradhipathya Dosha. However, Jupiter's as the 4th Dasa, is considered to be Sampath Thara Dasa, and should be favourable. (This general rule does not hold if Saturn's Dasa operates as the 4th).

The data does not indicate if Jupiter is free from affliction or aspects from malefic planets. If he is situated in Arudra 2, in the Navamsa Chart Jupiter will be in debilitation. Hence a thorough examination of all the factors is a must. From the data given, we can only say that Jupiter as a natural benefic should do good - provided Gochara factors (transit effects) are also favourable.
