Govt. to post PAs for MLAs

HYDERABAD, MAY 4. MLAs hereafter will have personal assistants
deputed from different Government departments to do secretarial
work relating to their respective Assembly constituencies.
The State Government issued an order in the name of the General
Administration Department, giving immediate effect to this
additional facility to all the 294 legislators in the State.
According to the guidelines laid down by the GO, District
Collectors have been empowered to obtain requisition from the MLA
concerned and issue the appointment order. The candidate as
personal assistant is to be appointed as per the choice of the
MLA out of those drafted up to the rank of upper division cadre
from the district establishment/ constituency concerned.
The GO provides for termination or reversal back to the parent
department of the appointment as and when the MLA vacates his/
her office or at anytime the MLA does not require such service. A
fixed allowance of Rs 1,000 will be paid to the personal
assistant towards travelling expenses and it will be charged onto
the parent department.
