Liquor shops to remain closed for 3 days

CHENNAI, MAY. 4.In view of the Assembly poll, licensed retail
outlets selling liquor in the city should be closed at 4 p.m.
from May 8 to 10.
The shops should also be kept closed for four days from May 11.
Severe action would be taken against those who violate the order
and their license would be temporarily or permanently cancelled,
according to a release from Mr. K. Subramanian, Chennai Collector
and District Election Officer.
