Randhawa slips to 10th spot

MACAU, MAY 4. India's Jyoti Randhawa slipped to the joint tenth position after carding a not-so-impressive level par 71 in the second round of the Macau Open golf tournament here today.

Randhawa, who was on the sole third position with a first round score of three-under 69 yesterday, shared the tenth spot with five other golfers at an aggregate of two-under 140, six strokes behind leader Zhang Lian-wei who shot into the sole lead with day's best card of seven under 64.

The cut was applied at four over 146 with four Indians making it. However, Arjun Atwal, Gaurav Ghei (both 144) and Arjun Singh (145) have fallen too far back and have a Herculean task on hand in the next two rounds.

Atwal shot a level par round following his dismal two- over 73 yesterday while Ghei could only equal his first round effort of one-over 72. Arjun Singh also carded a level par 71 to add to his first round three-over 74.
