Sip sip hooray

HOLIDAY IN the hot summer...an escape from the sweltering heat...sand and surf...snow and mountains...beautiful people...Miami, Jamaica, Honolulu, Bahamas and what have you. Romantic, but distant. Miles and miles away. Confined to plans and colourful brochures.

Dump these mirage blues and just chill out. And how? Get yourself a "vacation in a cup", say the young men and women at the Qwiky's. They've lined up some colourful chillers - eight cold coffee mocktails that come with whipped cream, flavoured syrups and toppings - named after exotic beaches of the world. So you can order a Miami, Montego, Jamaica, Waikiki and what not.

Sip this. `Bahamas' comes with banana syrup, espresso, crushed praline and whipped cream while `Jamaica' has thick chocolate syrup, fine coconut shreds with whipped cream, of course!

"These are heat busters. We want to give our customers a choice of beverages that are not very common in India. It is rare to have coffee with an assortment of fruits, syrups, cream and ice here," explains Edwin Paul, Vice-President, Qwiky's. All these are priced at Rs. 30 for a glassful!

Uhmmm...kick of those shoes, stretch your legs, grab a Honolulu and lo you are right in front of the beach, the waves lapping along the shores of your sensibilities.
