Lee, Gillespie cleared for Ashes
SYDNEY, MAY 19. Australian fast bowlers Brett Lee and Jason
Gillespie were passed fit on Saturday to take part in the Ashes
cricket tour against England.
Australia's chairman of selectors Trevor Hohns said both pacemen
were cleared for the tour after being taken through a two-hour
workout at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The two had been ordered to
undergo fitness tests after breaking down earlier in the year.
Lee missed Australia's tour of India because of an elbow injury
while Gillespie left the sub-continent early with a foot problem.
