Case against ex-Minister
MUMBAI, JUNE 2. A special task force of Maharashtra Government,
set up to prosecute persons indicted by the Srikrishna Commission
that inquired into the Mumbai riots, has filed a case against a
former Minister of State for Home, and the Shiv Sena legislator,
Mr. Gajanan Kirtikar, another legislator, Mr. Nandkumar Kale and
several others.
The Maharashtra Minister of State for Home, Mr. Kripashanker
Singh, said the task force was contemplating steps against senior
Shiv Sena leaders indicted by the Commission, including Mr. Bal
Thackeray and the Union Minister for Heavy Industry, Mr. Manohar
Joshi.
