TTD modifies privileges extended to donors
By Our Special Correspondent
TIRUPATI, JUNE 2. The TTD management has decided to make certain
modifications in respect of the privileges being extended to
donors who donate Rs.5 lakhs and more towards its various schemes
such as Nithya Annadanam, Vanabhivriddhi, Jalanidhi and to the
trusts established for the management of its SVIMS and the BIRRD
hospitals.
As per the modified terms and conditions, as highlighted in a
press release issued by the TTD, the privileges and facilities
would be available to the donors only during his/her lifetime in
the case of individuals and for only 20 years in the case of
joint donors, firms and companies, etc. A passbook also would be
issued to the donors for posting of entries every year about the
date of the visit of the donor, privileges enjoyed and so on so
that it served as a record and avoided confusion.
The facilities and privileges that would be available to the
donors under the modified rules are: free accommodation in the
ARP counter area or in guest houses for three days in a calendar
year or VIP accommodation on payment of rent subject to
availability. Darshan for five persons through the Vaikuntam
Queue Complex cellar for three days in a calendar year. It need
not be three consecutive days, the press note pointed out. One
`Duppata' (vasthram) and 10 small laddus will be given to the
donor every year. One gold-covered silver medallion carrying the
images of the Lord and His consort Padmavatahi on either side,
would be given on only one occasion, the press note clarified.
