Jayalalitha wishes PM speedy recovery

CHENNAI, JUNE 8. The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Ms. Jayalalitha,
has wished the Prime Minister, Mr. A. B. Vajpayee, recuperating
after a knee surgery in Mumbai, a speedy recovery. In a message
to Mr. Vajpayee, Ms. Jayalalitha said, ``I hope you will be back
in your busy schedule very soon and carry on your service to the
nation with renewed vigour.''

The Congress president, Ms. Sonia Gandhi, greeted the Prime
Minister for his successful right knee-joint replacement surgery
and wished him a ``speedy recovery and good health,''
UNI reports from Mumbai:
The Shiv Sena chief, Mr. Bal Thackeray, called the Breach Candy
hospital and inquired about Mr. Vajpayee's health. The BJP MLA,
Mr. Mangalprabhat Lodha, the party's camp in- charge at the
hospital, said Mr. Thackeray called around 11.00 a.m.
