Vajpayee recovering
By Our Special Correspondent
MUMBAI, JUNE 9. The Prime Minister, Mr. A.B. Vajpayee, continued
to make good progress after the knee-joint replacement surgery at
Breach Candy hospital on Thursday. But doctors, who described his
condition as comfortable, would not allow any dignitary to visit
him.
Mr. Vajpayee was made to sit for a while and today resumed solid
food and had normal breakfast. The hospital continued to receive
hundreds of `get well soon' cards from well- wishers. Several
organisations and the BJP held all-religion prayers for his
recovery.
