Five BSF men hurt in blast

SRINAGAR, JUNE 15. At least five Border Security Force personnel were injured when their vehicle ran over an Improvised Explosive Device at Athnar on Pahalgam-Amarnath track today.

The BSF Deputy Inspector General, Mr. R.P. Singh, told UNI that militants detonated a powerful IED when a vehicle carrying the BSF personnel for deployment on Pahalgam-Amarnath track reached village Athnar. Mr. Singh said as the month-long annual yatra would start from first week of the next month, advance party of security forces have started moving towards the cave shrine.
