At least five Border Security Force personnel were injured when their vehicle ran over an Improvised Explosive Device at Athnar on Pahalgam-Amarnath track today. The BSF Deputy Inspector General, Mr. R.P. Singh, told UNI that militants detonated a powerful IED when a vehicle carrying the BSF personnel for deployment on Pahalgam-Amarnath track reached village Athnar. Mr. Singh said as the month-long annual yatra would start from first week of the next month, advance party of security forces have started moving towards the cave shrine.
