Australia 157 for five
NOTTINGHAM, JUNE 19. Australia made 157 for five in 23 overs
while chasing Pakistan's 290 for nine in the triangular
tournament day/night one-day international against Australia here
at Trent Bridge today.
Saeed Anwar (34), Elahi (79), Razzaq (5), Youhanna (44) and
Younis (23) and Akram (28 not out) were the main run-getters.
Pakistan made two changes from the team that was on the verge of
beating England at Headingley last week before a pitch invasion
stopped play. All-rounder Wasim Akram returned from a shoulder
injury in place of fast bowler Fazal-E-Akbar while Faisal Iqbal
was brought in for rested batsman Inzamam-ul- Haq.
Australia stuck with the side that would have played Pakistan in
the washed-out game at Durham on Saturday with batsman Ricky
Ponting and fast bowler glenn Mcgrath both rested.
