All for a lovely time

THE SHOOTING for Evergreen Movie International's ``Lovely'' was on. The producer V.A.Durai said, ``We have made two films and both of them have been hits. This is our third venture. When I announced that I am doing a film with Karthik, the whole industry asked me to change the hero. I went to Karthik and told him what everybody felt. He said he would see to it that he finished the film on time. Till this moment he has given us his full cooperation and the film is now complete. We intend to release it next month.''

``This is only a patch work that is being shot. We have finished the entire film in Ooty and only this scene was left, as we needed only two kids to act in this scene.''

Producer Durai was an assistant to director S. P. Muthuraman, who has finished more than 100 films. Then he worked with producer A. M. Rathnam. His first venture was ``Ennamma Kannu'' and the next ``Looty''.

``Lovely'' is a story that comes with the message that a couple may love each other but can marry only after getting the permission of their family. Durai says the film is a light one like some of the old hits such as ``Anbe Vaa'', Ooty Varai Uravu`` and ''Kadhalikka Neramillai``. So ``Lovely`` has humour and a message besides full entertainment.''

About the shooting in Ooty, director Shakthi said, ``We shot for 34 days with 22 artistes and we finished the film. This scene is the last talkie portion in the film. The songs, which have come out well, have also been picturised.''

Karthik, Malavika, Monal, Manivannan, Vivek, Vinu Chakravarthi, `Nizhalgal' Ravi, Delhi Ganesh, S. N. Lakshmi, Balu Anand, J. Lalitha, Mahima and Iswarya are in the cast.

The camera is handled by B. Kannan, editing is by Lenin V. T. Vijayan, music by Deva, lyrics by Pa. Vijai and Pazhani Bharathi, art by Mahi and stunt by Thalapathi Dinesh. The production executive is Balan Gopi and the dialogue has been written by N. Prasanna Kumar. The film is produced by V. A. Durai and story, screenplay and direction have been taken care of by Sakthi.
