Sonia leaves for U.S.
NEW DELHI, JUNE 23. The Congress president, Ms. Sonia Gandhi,
left today for a week-long visit to Iceland and the U.S.
Senior party leaders, Dr. Manmohan Singh, Mr. Natwar Singh, the
AICC secretary, economic affairs, Mr. Jairam Ramesh and Mr. Murli
Deora are accompanying her.
During her five-day visit to the U.S., starting on June 24, Ms.
Gandhi, among other programmes, would address a special session
of the U.N. on HIV/AIDS.
