YGB Tech in alliance with Protocol

HYDERABAD, JUNE 30. YGB Technologies, a Hyderabad based software
company and Protocol Solutions of Bangalore have formed a
strategic alliance to bring total retail solutions for the
retailing industry in a packaged form.
Speaking to presspersons here on Saturday, Mr. B. S. Vivekanand,
Director, YGB, said the company had come out with a ``SWIFT POS
(point of solution)'', which is a cost effective alternative to
those offered by big companies such as IBM and EPSON.
The SWIFT POS consists of two modules, Cash-M (POS and
merchandising) for store management system and Cash-B (back
office) for warehouse management. It incorporates diversified
retail trade practices knowledge and advanced retail and
warehouse control technology. The hardware end is taken care of
by Protocol-which is primarily into barcoding solutions.
Mr. Vivekanand said it had completed six installations in
Singapore and Malaysia. It implemented F&B package for the
Decognac group in Singapore.
