CPI(M) adopts revised poll report
By Our Special Correspondent
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, JULY 1. The three- day meeting of the CPI(M)
State Committee concluded here today after adopting a revised
version of the party's Assembly election review report.
The report, presented to the State committee by the party State
secretary, Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan, was adopted after incorporating
changes suggested by the lower-level committees. The original
report prepared by the State committee had not found favour with
the CPI(M) central committee and was subjected to further
discussion and elaborations as suggested by it.
The State committee has now identified the omissions and
commissions of the Nayanar government, factional pulls and
pressures in certain parts of the State and the party's failure
to gauge the alienation of the masses from the CPI(M) and LDF as
additional reasons for the LDF's defeat in the Assembly polls.
