Aithent Tech.'s plans

BANGALORE, JULY 4. Aithent Technologies, the U.S. based software giant in insurance, health care and financial services software designs founded by the Japanese educated technocrat, Mr N.Venu Gopal, is all set to enter India in the field of higher end software training including the latest in internet technology.

Mr. Venu Gopal who is presently in India holding consultations with various authorities including the Union and the State Governments told The Hindu here that the first of the training institutions would located on the College Road, Nungambakkam in Chennai. It would be followed up with the training centres cum Aithent Technology offices in Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad.

The training centres would impart learning in embedded software designing to qualified computer engineers. It would be a full- fledged three month course in Unified Modelling Language (UML). The UML graduates were in demand all over Japan and the U.S. On completion of training, nearly 50 per cent of them would be absorbed by Aithent Technologies for postings within the country and abroad.

Mr. Venu Gopal said, with the setting up of a string of training institutions by the company, at least 3,000 UML educated software engineers would be available in the field every year. Embedded software has been rated high as the future of the software sector, more so, since it was widely used in home appliances, telephones including the mobile telephones and motor vehicles, to name a few. With only the Japanese certification commanding respect across the world, Aithent Technologies would also be awarding the successful candidates the Japanese certification.

Aithent has already entered into an agreement with the Japanese companies in this connection.
