Highly promising liquid fertilizer

EMBELIA RIBES is a climbing shrub distributed all over India upto 5000 feet high.

It deserves attention as a phyto-pesticidal climber. High yielding varieties demand more protection externally.

Pesticides are gradually being replaced with alternatives such as industrial biofertilizers, eco-friendly organisms and agronomic practices.

Fumigation is an ancient technology. A mixture of white mustard seeds, flowers of terminalia arjuna flesh of hare, turmeric powder and embelia seeds serve as an antiseptic and protects crop damage.

Coat the plant with sesame oil, and embelia ribes by sprinkling mixture of milk and water, applying a liquid fertilizer (Kunapambu) and by smoking with ghee. It serves as an effective insecticide.

Coconut trees when smeared at night with extracts of fermented liquor, sesame seed oil, black gram, wine, mixed with honey and salt serves as an insecticide.

Trees fumigated heavily with a mixture of ghee, Vayu-vilanga, milk water and honey not only protects the trees but also produce profuse flowers and fruits in short durations.

To eliminate worms on trees, fumigate the trees with a mixture of white mustard, vayu-vilanga, zingiber zerumber and piper nigrum add sufficient water with beef, horn of buffalo, flesh of pigeon and powder of semecarpus anacardium.

Seeds sprinkled with milk, rubbed with cowdung and dried will germinate well resulting in healthy seedlings.

Anointing with Vayu-vilanga, mixed with ghee, watering for 7 with salt water and applying ointment made out of beef, white mustard, sesame will destroy insects and worms.

Wounds caused by nematodes and insects can be made to heal quickly if sprinkled with milk after being anointed with a mixture of vayu- vilanga, sesame, cow urine, ghee and mustard.

If the plant suffers from wrong treatment it can be rectified by sprinkling the mixture of water and milk, and also by applying a paste of vayu-vilanga mixed with thick mud.

Seed powder (200 gm) in water (2:l) boiled. Next day filter, dilute with 100 ml of water.

Apply to crops to prevent from insects and virus.

When plants suffer from diseases caused by excess watering, scratch the plant with nails, uproot, smear the roots with a mixture of honey and vayu-vilanga and then water.

Water the trees with butter-milk, sugarcane juice, mixed with powder of beef, vayu-vilanga, oil cake.

The tree will produce flowers and large fruits out of season for one month.
