Sri Lanka warns envoys
By Nirupama Subramanian
COLOMBO, JULY 5. Sri Lanka has warned members of the diplomatic
community based here not to make public comments on its
``internal affairs'' and said this would be considered breach of
protocol.
The Sri Lankan Foreign Ministry has said that any comment that
diplomatic representatives wanted to make should be routed
through it. Sri Lanka has come in for criticism from India, the
U.S. and the U.K. on air-raids it carried out in the Jaffna
peninsula.
