Forex reserves up $177 million
MUMBAI, JULY 8. India's foreign currency reserves rose by $177
million to $ 43,455 million for the week ended June 29.
The foreign currency assets (FCA) were up by $ 177 million at
$40,635 million, in reporting week, according to the Reserve Bank
of India's latest weekly statistical supplement. Gold reserves
and special drawing rights were at $ 2,816 million and $4 million
respectively, same as in the previous week.
The foreign currency assets expressed in dollar terms include the
effect of appreciation/ depreciation of non-U.S. currencies.
