Small delegation coming with Musharraf
By B. Muralidhar Reddy
ISLAMABAD, JULY 9 The Pakistan President, Gen. Pervez Musharraf,
would visit India with `a small delegation' comprising only the
Foreign Minister, Mr. Abdul Sattar, and senior government
officials, it was officially announced here today.
Addressing a news conference here the Information Secretary, Mr.
Anwar Mahmood, and the chief spokesman of the military, Maj. Gen.
Rashid Quereshi, said that besides Mr. Sattar, the Foreign
Secretary, Mr. Inam-ul Haq, senior officials concerned with
Pakistan-India relations and Gen. Musharraf's personal staff
would accompany the President. They said that many ministers
would not accompany Gen. Musharraf.
The foreign office has said Gen. Musharraf and Mr. Vajpayee would
be joined by their delegations following their one-to-one meeting
in Agra on Sunday.
Pakistan has said that though there was no structured agenda for
the summit, they would focus on the Kashmir dispute.
