11 killed as van collides with bus

UDUPI, JULY 9. As many as 11 persons were killed when their van
collided with a private bus at Trasi near Kundapur in Udupi
District, on National Highway 17 on Monday.
According to the Gangolli Police, all the 11, including the
driver, were killed on the spot.
The bus was on its way from Mangalore to Mumbai while the van was
bound for Kundapur from Byndoor when the accident took place at
about 5.30 p.m. The dead are male and are aged between 30 and 35
years. Police said that the dead belonged to Nelamangala.
However, their identity is not known.
